I am getting the error message "Printer Not Ready - Device is Busy - Try again Later".

This message first appeared a few months ago. I have researched Lexmark's help page and came up with a fix which is to uninstall printer & driver and then reinstall.

This worked for a while, as it did not happen that often. However today the fix lasted for about 40 minutes.

I was not able to find out the 'why' this is happening or what is causing this.

There has not been anything new installed on the computer.

Does anyone know what could be the cause?

I am running symantec's Norton Internet Security & SystemWorks.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank You
Happy Trails
Daddo

Daddo,

I get exactly the same problem and have also tried the fix on the lexmark website - it worked for about five minutes on my system. I tried contacting Lexmark on their helpdesk but after numerous calls I get the same old advice - re-load the drivers. I have writen to Lexmark complaining about the fault and the lack of support and I'll let you know if they come up with a fix.

Kind regards

Allan
