Subject: Lexmark X125 printer not respondingOS: XpCPU/Ram: 1 gig |
Comment: I have a lexmark x125 fax/copy/scan/printer. It is my local printer and is set to default but I also have access to another printer on the network. For some reason I can't trace, the printer stops responding. There is a big red X in the printer icon in the startup tray. It happens at odd times, sometimes overnight but other times in the middle of the day. One minute it is just fine, and the next -- big red X. If I don't notice it and try to print, it says printer not responding and locks up. Then I have to restart the computer to get the printer up and running again. Hope someone can help. Mike

Reply: (edit)I have the X75 that does the same thing on occasion and I narrowed it down to the usb device drivers but reinstalling still didn't fix it.

Reply: (edit)Tried the unplug thing. The computer noticed that I unplugged and plugged but the big red X is still there. The onlything that works is to reboot. Mike

Reply: (edit)Dunno what to suggest then, could be a driver error, have you looked on the lexmark website for the printer driver or possible fix's??
