Comment:

I’ve recently bought Lenovo N200 laptop with Vista Home Ultimate on it and I would like to move to XP. However, although I read posts on how to install SATA drivers, what about 6GB hidden partition? Vista installation with all surrounding stuff is more than 20GB plus that hidden one.

If I format the hidden partition, will the laptop function correctly or is this only space for the recovery stuff – you can recover to a factory state?

Make sure you're able to get XP drivers before you decide to "downgrade". Sound & network drivers may not be available.
