Hi i googled for an xp driver for this old laser printer for a friend and found this site http://xpdrivers.com/printer/canon/... Is it genuine? The file that it says to download is 'drivertool.exe'. Is that something usable? It is a parallel connected printer and the drivers are for up to win2000 i think

drivertool.exe is not a driver but a third-party tool to locate drivers which are already on your PC. It will not help you to find the driver you need and it may even contain spyware so I would not install or run it.
There is only one place to get peripheral device drivers from that you can trust to be free from spyware or malware, and that's from the manufacturer's own website.
If Canon do not have an XP driver for the LBP-660 (which they don't) I see little point in looking elsewhere.
