Specs: Windows 7, AMD C-50, 1GHz / 2GB
I have a Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5202.
O/S: Windows 7
Video: AMD Radeon HD 6250

The Left 1/3 of the screen is on the right side and the right 1/3 is on the left. The center stays the same. The thirds are separated by about 50 vertical lines, a pixel width each. Sometimes switching screen modes or rebooting will fix, but not always. Moving the screen and laptop around has no effect. The problem is very intermittent. Any suggestions to the cause and a way to fix?
Thank You

LCD screens cheat how they use display chips. They re-use some chips to paint part of the screen and then the next part and so on. I suspect that side board is going bad.

It may be a poor connection in the display too.

It is not easy for most people to fix. An expensive part is needed to attempt a guess unless you have many parts for test use.

Make backups daily or more often and when it dies buy a new system.

Hang up and live.

just to make sure connect ur laptop to an external monitor... And check if it happens. If not then ur screen is faulty or the connection to ur display screen inside the laptop is bad. If the same happens there is a problem with the graphics chip

computers are a second home
