I have a laptop with a wierd problem. Like 2/3s from left the lcd shows a vertical line with what appears to be 3 pixels in witdh and runs half way up. The two outer pixels in the line are white dashes on black while the middle one is just black. The dashes are animated running up and down. I've never seen this on an lcd before. It will (it gets weirder) from time to time change to a light blue (dashes are still white). This latptop first had win98se and was upgraded to winxp sp2. I really doubt this is a os issue since it also appears on the branded splash screen and on post. I tought about just buying another lcd (from ebay) but I think it may be the wires or something. LCD experts your help would sure be appreciated Truth can become lie, but if lies become truth we're in trouble.

you have a cable problem from your m board to your lcd try reseating the cable

Or, you have a bad LCD, I've seen this before and replacing the LCD fixed the problem....either way, I hope your unit's under warranty.
