Hello,

I have really odd problem.

My lcd monitor has worked fine but after it was at maintenance it doesn't have worked.

I have NVidia GeForce MX5200 adapter and my lcd is plugged via dvi. No possibility for vga connection.
When I boot my computer I cannot see a thing, my monitor stays blank.
After Windows is logged the screen works fine. Before that it nothing, only "no signal" on screen.

That causes that I cannot for example configure my bios settings 'cause I cannot see a thing in booting session.

I have Windows 2000 and Linux Fedora Core 4 installed but only under Windows my monitor is working. When I try to start Linux it stays blank

I was using tv-out when my monitor was in maintenance.
And some time regular monitor with the help of dvi->vga adapter but mainly I used only the tv-out option.

And I have tried to unplugg the tv-out and then restart my computer but with no results

Is there somekind of conflict on my display adapter or is my lcd broken or what the heck?

Anyone had samekind of problems and how to fix this?

What do you mean by when your monitor was in maintenance? Did this monitor ever work? Have you checked to be sure the cable is tight? Is there a reset function on the monitor? Have you changed anything in BIOS? And as for the DVI port, does this have a VGA to DVI adapter on it?

This monitor worked fine until it's power button get stucked and was fixed by manufacture.

Yes I've checked the cables.

And there might be possibilty that I've changed some bios settings in blind.
When the I get this problem I tried to set my bios without seeing nothing.
Because I guessed that prblem is there.
But I didn't been lucky.

I have dvi->vga adapter but at the moment I don't have any vga monitor for use.

Thanks for help but there was no positive results!

I tried to clear my bios, no results

The I tried to connect my monitor with vga.
When I booted my computer my monitor gets the signal but still stays blank!
And now when Windows is logged on it still stays blank!
Makes me think that there is some problem on my display adapter.
Am I right?
Is there anything I can do?

Now when I connect my monitor wih dvi I can get picture on screen when Windows is logged on but it stays blank before that and I cannot configure my bios etc.
