Hi, I've bought a Samsung 172T LCD Monitor. Unsing the analog cable connection I get to 75 Hz, however using the DVI connection I can only get up to 60 Hz (eventhough I'd like to work at 75Hz). Does someone know if it should be a difference in refresh rate between the DVI and analogic connections ? Thank you.

60 Hz is about standard for an digital LCD monitor. Becasue they use a totaly differnt technology, refresh rate induced flickers is not a problem as it is with an analouge CRT monitor. With the analouge connection the signal has to be converted from digital to analouge and back to digital again. With the digital connection its digital all the way.

Actually with a CRT monitor the signal is changed from digital to analog (in the adapter), but not back to digital. CRT monitors have analog circuits.
