What do you guys think about this monitor?

Is it better than a CRT monitor? I am wanting to slim down to a LCD for space saving purposes. But I do not know what monitor would be best. I am not that familiar with LCD monitors so the specs mean nothing to me because I do not know what is considered 'good'. If any of you have any other recommendations than feel free to let me know. I am wanting to keep $250 and below if at all possible. By the way...games are very seldom played on my computer so that is not really an issue. But I do want a monitor that is as good preferably better than a standard CRT monitor. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi,
A few days ago i purchased a new 19"LCD Viewsonic Monitor. It came with all the cables (analogu and digital - power and microphone and speaker) it came with a CD that had drivers and utilities and a great instruction manual. If you want to have a look at it type vx900 into viewsonic.com.au. It only cost me $600 AUD. Something else to look at it found is what you would like it to look like - LCD Monitors are a very personal thing i have found - there are also lots of posts (recent ones) that recomend good + great LCD monitors. Just thought that might help you.

it u r tight on money it is prob. a great deal. you want to try to get one with atleast a 500:1 ratio so it will be a good picture. they have a fairly cheap 1000:1 for about 500 i think

If picture quality is important to you and you want a monitor as good or better than a CRT monitor, you may have to do a lot of looking. IMO LCD monitors are much better than they were but I think they are not yet up to the picture quality of a good CRT. I also think you are not going to get any startling quality from a budget LCD monitor. Regards. Stewart

Bit of a wit....half to be precise.
