Comment: Hi to all, I need your help and advise. I brought new colored printer epson Aculaser c900. The purpose of this printer is for printing stickers. My very big problem is everyday stickers stock inside the printer. Our supplier advise me that laser printer is not suitable for stickers, but our supervisors insists because our existing one is a laser and we did not encounter that kind of problem, the only difference is they just want colored laser printer. Any idea? what is the best thing I can do to this printer? Please help! Thanks and more power to all.. cheers, mae

Reply: (edit)You need printer stock made especially for your color laser. This laser probably fuses at a higher temperature. If the labels come off you may be in for an expensive experience like replacing the transfer belt or the developer drum. You need to check the detailed specs of both your printers for their fuser temperatures.

Reply: (edit)I repair laser printers and I will also agree with wizard-fred. Your supervisor's logic makes no sence whatsoever. Each brand of printer is built very different. Even different printers from the same manufacturer can behave very differently. If they still insist on using labels, here's something you can try. If they feed the sheets of labels from the paper tray, use the multi purpose tray instead. Thats the one that manually flips open on the front or side. If the printer has the option to output to an optional door that opens up on the back, use that instead of outputting to the top. This is usually where labels have problems. They have just come through the fuser and the glue is very soft at this point. Outputing to the tray in the back keeps the sheet of labels from having to go around sharper corners and the possibility of them peeling off.
