I got a Toshiba laptop from a friend who thinks it was struck by lightning..It will not power up and has been sitting for a while. I checked the power cord/transfomer and it was putting out the proper voltage..What is the next step? I am not a repairman, but know a little about meters and voltage/continuity testing...I wondered if there were an inline fuse or something that would have protected it from extensive damage.Should I remove the battery and check it again with just the power cord? It is a model PSAA5U-011300Q....
