Did anything happen? You drop it? Not turn it on for a while? Try finding a different power cable to use. If your power cable doesnt work and your battery dies, then its not going to boot with or without batter/power cable in.

My name is JRComp, and I approve this message.

I am having a similar problem, my laptops battery light will go on when I plug it in, if I press the power button, the computer does not turn on but the battery light will go off. Pressing the power again jus turns te battery sign on again.
I had a normal shutdown, but I think I might have gt a little water in my mouse pad. Then wiped it with a towel and put the laptop upside down. I was told it was not likely that it was the water damage so I'm in a situation like yours not knowing why it will not work after I turned it off, tryed multiple power cords aswell. Try looking up the prices the computer places around your area charge for checking your machine, and take it to one which will at least tell you what is wrong so you can decide to get any replacement peices that my have died or if it is cheaper to get a new machine.

kenwood, try removing your HD and trying to power up...see if that works to at least get it to post.

I am suspecting that your AC adapter has failed. They are real cheap anymore, just go on Ebay, put in your brand and model number as well as AC adapter and check out the prices.

Some HELP in posting on plus free progs and instructions Cheers
