Laptop Won't Power On

I left for the weekend, and left the laptop in its bag. Came home and went to turn it on and nothing happens.
My Acer Aspire 3500 Laptop won't power on either with or without the battery installed. The power light on the AC Adapter is lit. No LED's on the laptop come on when the AC is connected or running off of battery. There are no sounds coming from the laptop when it is connected via AC or when pushing the power-on button. I have also reseated the battery several times, but still no power.

Go to the support website for your machine (if there IS one) and see if there is a solution.
Sometimes, laptops "get into trouble" and there often is a procedure, which usually envolves removing the battery, for a period of time, and doing a "hard reset." Some laptops must have the "bios" battery removed to do this, and some have a hidden reset switch.

Don't know if this includes yours but a real common problem with laptops after a year or so is that the power jack losens up and the contacts don't make properly. Plug the adaptor in with the battery removed and wiggle the plug around while trying a start up at the same time. If you get something then you will have your answer.
