Hi,
I'm looking to buy a laptop(I have a few in mind) but my main concern is the video card. I know that some dell laptops have a mini-agp port so that if another dell comes out, you can get a better video card. I would like to know ALL the models that have this port. I am REALLY considering this acer.

The thing that im not so sure about is the intel extreme graphics 2, i have never heard of this before and was wondering if it is any good. I do lite gaming, no FPS but mainly strategy, adventure, action type games. It has 64mb of shared video memory, so thats a plus, but i would like to know of it's performance before i buy. is it upgreadable? Will it last me for 4 years?
Or is this:

A better bet? it has a ATI MOBILITY RADEON (m6) 4X AGP and 3D architecture in it? is it better than the above video card by intel?

And my last inquiries have to do with zoomed video. Does that speed up my video card ni any way, so in 2 years, with something like that added to my system, i will be able to play more sophisticated games, or games of that time?

Thank you so very much, in advance

I hope you realize that laptops are a poor choice for a gaming machine.

I dunno why you want the crappy Mobility Radeon 9000, it's not even the top of the line graphic for notebook. So far, top of the line is the Mobility Radeon 9600, second place is the Geforce FX go 5600. Intel extreme graphic 2 is the samething, too slow to play the new games. It's not fully DX9 capable, low performance and eats up RAM. If you buy a laptop come with a specific video card, you cannot upgrade it because everyone on the laptop is onboard.

Here is some top of the line laptop you can buy.

1. Sony PCG-GRT170 (www.sony.com)
Have Geforce FX go 5600

2. HP ZD7000 series (www.hp.com)
Have Geforce FX go 5600

3. Dell Inspiron 8500 (www.dell.com)
Have Geforce Ti4200 go

Don't even bother to buy Intel Extreme Graphic 2, I'd use them before in my friend's cheapo toshiba laptop, the graphic is choppy and too slow to enjoy the play.
