laptop sound issues

ive got a laptop with dead speakers and a dead headphone socket, the mic socket is fine, is there any way i can remap the sound through the mic or anything?

Are you sure that headphone sockets and speakers are dead? I'd recommend you to check your sound drivers first.

You may have to resort to a PCMIA card unless you get someone to open your laptop and check for cold solder joints on the output jack, unless the jack has been abused and the wires are broken off. You may find a good deal on Ebay or wherever. Good luck
