k i know someone who has a problem with their laptop, its a Compaq Presario M2010 Intel Celeron M 350 1.3GHz Laptop. Wireless.256mb ram . when the person tries to do an audio convo on msn messenger it says: the sound card is not installed properly or inst installed. the mic works and so does the sound. any ideas??

if the sound works perfectly elswhere then it isn't a problem with the sound card (duh)(there isn't a special circuit on your sound card that says "msn messenger")

this is clearly a software issue, try configuring the settings in messenger..
