laptop shocking me

January 5, 2006 at 11:24:25
Specs: winxp, 1.73/1gig
ok, my laptop keeps shocking me for no reason. as in static shock. There's also a small buzz after every sound that is played on the speakers. It's not on the headphones tho.

I haven't done anything, or installed anything new. I just appeared 2 days ago.

Anyone know what the hell it could be? I had a mouse before that gave me the same problem, I just got rid of it. But this time it's the whole laptop giving me shocks.

It's damn annoying becuase everything is still working normally.

Does it occur running with batteries only?

<<becuase everything is still working normally.>>

With the electricity jumping around there it won't for long. Is the AC adapter damaged?

Take it to service asap. Warranty?

Trust me. It is not static electricity... :)

Except for the backlight on the screen, there shouldn't be any voltage high enough to shock. I too suggest to send it back to the manufacturer.
