laptop screen trouble

Hi! I have the weirdest laptop screen problem!! The colors are all messed up, the pixels look like they are moving in lines, there is a pinkish color in different... it's horrible! Can anyone help? I've got a Compaq Presario 17xl374. The system info says the driver's fine, and I've run all the diagnostics test -- they all pass OK! HELP!!!!!!!! :S

Has there been phsical damage done to the computer? If not, then regardless of what the diagnostics say there probably is something wrong with the driver. Try changing the display type to Std. VGA and then remove the video driver and reboot to safe mode. Check device manager to make sure the display is set for Std.VGA and nothing else is there for video. Then reboot and install the drivers for your display type.
