Hi, my laptop screen keeps going black and you can hardly see anything. At first i thought it was the backlight, but it still happens when i use and external monitor? Why? and how do you stop it?

If the laptop screen AND the monitor displays identical characteristics, I would attribute the problem to the video card. Is your laptop under warranty?
