when i change the angle of the screen the screen flickers, and on rare occasions the screen goes very dark and you can just about see whats on screen. But if i move the screen again it goes back to normal.
obviously there is a problem with the connections, but i was wondering if i should take it back, is it common with laptop tops ?
i mean most of the time it runs fine, it only flickers when i move the screen, and it hardly ever goes black, only happened twice.
most people i asked said "take it back", well i am planning to, but just wondering if its worth it, maybe its common.
Can someone give a technical reply to this, what exactly is wrong with the connection etc
thanks

How can we give you a technical explanation if you have the laptop?
Obviously it's a backlight cable or connection problem.
If it's under warranty then take it bad, that is why you have the warranty.

my laptop does that. It used to do it quite alot. Sometimes it would be okay, but it would have drawn the screen wrong (or it'll draw nonsense). After a few months, it rarely does it anymore. I just cleaned my laptop a few days ago, and it doesn't seem to have any problems so far...
This is the 2nd cleaning though...first time didn't do anything. But this time, I unscrewed the connections slightly and cleaned the contact parts.

This is fairly common. Sometimes tilting the LCD will actually pinch the cables (you can tell when the liquid crystals at the very bottom fringe distort when tilting the LCD back). But if it's under warrantee I'd take it back because if it's a problem with the connectors it can be progressive and get worse and worse over time.
