Hi,
It's only happened a few times now. My computer just reboots. Doesn't shut down properly. I'm in Windows just working, the next thing I know, the screen goes blank and then I'm at the HP post screen. It's not an everyday thing. I think it's happend 3 times now in the last few weeks. A few weeks ago, I was having an overheating issue with the laptop. I fixed it by ripping the laptop apart and putting new thermal grease on the processor. Now with it rebooting, it is not overheating. The laptop isn't hot at all.
I'd like to think I'm a half way decent PC tech. But crashes when they don't blue screen are some of the most difficult things to troubleshoot. At least a blue screen leaves behind a memory dump. With no blue screen, it leaves no evidence of why it crashed. Does anyone have any logical steps to troubleshoot why it's happening?
Today, when it happened, I just was browsing the internet. I didn't have any apps open that were unusual.
