Laptop randomly reboots on battery power

Specs: Windows 7, 6
Hi, I bought a Toshiba L755 laptop and after 2 weeks it suffered from a problem whereby on battery power it would just reset itself. It would do it randomly and whilst idle/very little usage. I returned it to Comet asking for a refund but they declined and gave me a replacement.

Unfortunately, this laptop (identical model) has now gone the same way (albeit worse) after two months. It would again just reboot itself, no black screen and windows wouldn't say anything on screen. It's as if the power had been removed suddenly.

I've contacted Comet and Toshiba and they both seem disinterested except to offer a repair. I've done a system restore (at Toshiba's request) and reinstalled programs one by one to see if it's a software issue. But none of the software has caused the issue.

Does anyone know of an issue that might cause this? I believe it's more than likely to be a hardware fault than software due to the nature of it switching off suddenly and connected to it running on battery power.

Full Model number is? There are a whole host of 755's....., go to:
...look for your EXACT model No. (i.e. L755D-S5279 ), see if there are any BIOS updates for it. Sometimes those can correct Power issues.

You may also want to uninstall their Toshiba Power Management software to see if that allivates the issue.

MOOOOooove! OH and you're welcome!
