I have a Dell Inspiron 8000
128MB 144-pin SODIMM SDRAM PC100 CL2
want to go to
256MB 144-pin SODIMM SDRAM PC133 CL3

should this be fine to upgrade to

I tried that on my Compaq, and it didn't work. Apparently the laptop mobos don't have a whole lot of memory flexibility. However, to be sure, I'd imagine that you can look up the technical specs on your laptop via Dells website? If there's any flexibility, it may tell you. They might also have a keyword search engine, and that might enable you to look up that question.

Dude, I'm never getting a Dell.

ur ram will run @ 100 Mhz (all ram work at the mini speed of both if u put a 100 and a 133). Check the max ram available for ur motherboard, but it's often 512 Mo
