Hi, I'm having a problem with my laptop power supply. It's a little hard to explain but I'll do my best: From what I can see there seems to be a problem with the power socket INSIDE the laptop, because if I don't keep the power jack very steady and pushed in tightly the power switches to battery mode and once the battery runs out it switches off - i.e. windows the doesn't shut down, the power simply cuts out and the computer goes dead. Once this happens I have to play around with the power socket/jack until the LED for AC power comes on and hope it switches back on. Sometimes it does, somtimes it switches back off.
I realise this could be a problem with the adaptor but I'm quite sure it's more serious and has something to do with the internal electricals. Can someone PLEASE advice me on what I should do and approximately how much getting this repaired would cost me in $$$ ot £££(I'm in the UK, so feedback from UK is very much appreciated). Thank You!!
Sounds like a simple conection problem inside the case. Only way to tell, though, is to take it to a repair shop, 'cause diagnosing hardware problems over the internet is a bit of a crapshoot.
