Hello,
I have a Sony PCG FX120 Laptop that has never failed me for 4 years now. When I press the power button, the LED Lights light up for a second, and then go off. The laptop won't boot. No messages on the screen, or anything. The LED lights come on and then just go off. Have checked the power cord, worked on another laptop. Tryed a different power cord, same problem. The strange thing is if I unplug it, and leave it alone for a few days, it will work again, but only for a few hours until it just instantly goes dead. Then, the same thing happens as described above. My warranty is up. Could anyone please help me? I really appreciate it. Thank You for your time!
Mike

Check your Battery, will the computer boot running just on the battery? Will the computer turn on using the power cord with the battery removed?
