Hi Carlos

Your post's title (but not content) advises you are having to remove the battery.

Have you tried another battery?

If not the battery, this sounds like a problem with the charger, which I think is contained in the power lead.

When first switched on, it overloads and trips out.

Pulling the (power) plug, fully disconnects and it resets.

Have you tried:-

a) supplying power to the charger, with the Acer switched off for 15 - 20 minutes, then switching the Acer on.
This allows the charger to warm up, such that it then might not trip out when loaded.

b) another charger

Good Luck - Keep us posted.

I have tried another battery and charger. I disassembled it and tried turning it on. The one light comes on,but no video, then I kind of bend the board near the gpu one thumb on the gpu an rest of my fingers on the edge of the board. And BAM screen turns on, when i let go it shuts off. I was wondering it this had something to do with the gpu connecting and if reflowing would work?

Hi Carlos - would think there is a bad connection somewhere, that is making when you flex the board.

You may be able to locate with a magnifying glass.

Be careful what you are touching as static electricity from you can damage components. Best to wear a wrist earthing strap.

If you are uncomfortable with continuing at this stage, ask some one more experienced to take a look.

Good Luck - Keep us posted.
