Comment: I have a friend that found a laptop in a vacant house and she gave it to me..we hooked it up to charge it but nothing happend after it was charged. it won't come on at all..what do you think may be wrong with it????

Reply: (edit)It could be anything.. If you found it in a old house something might haveburnt out.. someone might have taken parts from it..Who knows? I wouldnt waste too much time and effort in it.

Reply: (edit)This could be a simple problem, easy to fix, or not. It could be as simple as the connector into the machine cracked loose from the solder connections. Easy or hard, depending on your abilities. Sometimes these power supplies develop breaks in the power cable up close to the connector at the laptop due to handling. Again, if you can get a "Radio Shack" universal connector, you might be able to fix it. Then again, this could be a serious internal problem in either the power supply or laptop. There might just be a reason why someone left it behind.........
