I recently bought a toshiba notbeook (satelitte a70) and I connected my logitech mouse (with a wheel) via USB. I know the mouse is functioning properly becuase it works fine with my desktop.
When I would be typing the cursor would jump to a differnet part of the screen so I disabled the touch pad since I don't use and I thought my thumb hovering over top of it was causing it. That problem has stopped as for as I can tell but I noticed that my mouse doesn't highlight or select things properly.
For example, when I used the vertical scroll bar to scroll it doesn't scroll all the way down, I have to attempt it a few times before it works
Another example is when I normally double click on a word, it highlights it but not anymore. Now it will select part of the word, several words or the sentence.
Also when I click and drag to select a sentence teh same thing happens, it selects part of the sentence. I have to use the shift key and arrow buttons to select.
I've updated the mouse drivers and I'm stil experiencing the same problem. Looked at the configurations for the mouse/pointer...don't see anything out of the ordinary.
Any thoughts?

Hi,
My friend has exactly the same problem having said on clicking the mouse keeps clicking and it won't stop, unless unplugged. The mouse is USB, XP Home SP2.
Best.
no comment...

i've unplugged the mouse and i'm using the touch pad. it's such a pain b/c the cursor keeps moving somewhere else other than where it's supposed to be. also when i was typing in msn messenger the window kept minimizing...why is this happening?
