I am trying to install an lt winmodem on a toshiba satellite laptop (witch has no com ports only usb and ltp1)under win98 with absolutely no succes. the problem seem to be in the com ports. scince the laptop has none windows keep installing the winmodem on the ltp1!!!. I am pozitive that I have the right driver and I even tried to instal com ports through "add new hardwere" but the modem is still not working with the virtual com 1,2 or 3. also I've tried to install the dam modem with the driver's setup utility and with the "add new hardwere" but still no com3 and the only option was to install it on the ltp1. if anyone has the answer to my problem I would appreciate the help.
