laptop keys not working correctly

I have a sony laptop and for some reason some of they keys are not working correctly. for instants when i strike the letter r a number appearce. I believe the first row and the number keys have switched? how do i fix this problem?

Have you checked to see if there is nothing under the keys. For example i have had problems like the one you describe, and it turned out to be crumbs and bits of paper, even a piece of lego too. All due to the kids playing on or near my laptop. I believe with most laptops the keys can be removed seperately...
If not then maybe you need to check your settings in regonal/languages.
