Hi there, I was having trouble with my keyboard last month - when I pressed the F key, loads of letters came up. I replaced the keyboard, but now it has a 'sticky' key - it is constantly typing 'h' and making the laptop un usable! Is my replacement keyboard faulty? Or is it something else? Please help! Thanks

Did you replace the keyboard or did you take it to a shop?
You could try disconnecting the internal keyboard and then use a dry cotton cloth to wipe the bottom side of the keyboard. Then reseat the connection and try it again.

I just replaced a dell laptop keyboard. Bought a brand new Dell keyboard for $39 plus $10 UPS shipping.

Dell charges $89 for a new keyboard

Also, try an external keyboard and see if it has the same problem.

I replaced the keyboard myself.... i will try disconecting it and wiping it - thanks.

I tried an external keyboard - which types fine but the internal keyboard is still constantly typing the h so still no use really....

If the external keyboard works fine, then I would say you have a faulty internal keyboard.

I turned on the laptop without any keyboard plugged in (including removing the internal one) - and it still beeped during boot and constantly typed 'h'. what does that mean?
