my laptop will show the compaq boot screen where you can change the boot order, boot from LAN, and the compaq setup, then shoots to a screen that says: Press <F1> to Resume or <F10> to Enter Setup. Then freezes and locks up. It won't even boot the OS on there. help would be appreciated please! thank you p.s. this laptop belonged to ,my dad about three months ago and the OS completely crashed on him, then i fixed it and put vista on there(he had XP). so if the problem i'm having now could somehow be related then well thats what the condition of it was before i got it. oh and when it crashed the first time it was not because of virus(some of the OS files got accidentally deleted) My Laptop Specs: -Compaq Presario V2000 series -Model: V2140 LC -RAM: 512 Megabytes -Hard Drive: Toshiba 60gb -OS: Windows Vista Home Premium if you need any more specifications to help me with my problem just ask. thank you!
