laptop Fkey and touchpad issues

Specs: Windows 8, 4
ill start with the f keys.

for some reason randomly my fkeys will switch around like before when i presses f9 my volume would go down (you know how laptops now days have the media keys, brighness keys, and so forth and you have the press FN to use the actuall fkeys) well randomly it switches to where i need to press FN to use the media keys or any keys on the fkeys. and the fkeys themselves become the constant. i need to restart my laptop to reverse this. is there a reason for the FN key switching around?

my touchpad randomly stops working, it worked fine after i uninstalled the synaptics drivers for it but then my scrolling and app switching didnt work. (i slide two fingers down or up to scroll, and slide one finger either left or right to switch applications (built in, its not something i added) so i need the drivers but when their installed my laptops touchpad or mousepad doesnt work sometimes only for a few seconds to a minute but its still annoying, i have a wireless mouse but i usually use the touchpad when im not gaming. is there a reason for it to stop working? i suspect its the driver crashing or something but even when i close the driver (icon in the taskbar tray) it still works but the sliding comboninations dont work... ive looked and there doesnt seem to be an update for it so im confused as to what i should do next.

From what you describe it seems like it has to be a driver issue. Contact the manufacturer of you computer or motherboard. Can't say much more without the make and model number because there are stacks of different drivers.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
