Hello
I have changed out a fan/motherboard on a 2002 Toshiba Satellite 1955-S801. Its a basic P4 laptop but was top of the line in its day.

After I reassembled the laptop, the display has ceased to operate. It displays a solid (light) blue background. When you plug it into an external monitor, it works perfect. It appears that something came loose or there is a bad cable? I don't think its the inverter, but I could be wrong. The background the LCD screen displays is a medium blue, with no activity other than it "splashed" with that blue. Other than that the laptop works 100% especially through the VGA out. Does anyone have any ideas what is going on? I checked "some" of the calbes, down around the inverter: both cables in/out of the inverter, as well as the motherboard VGA end cable.
Thoughts?
