Make your display size smaller then...if still under warranty, cal your manufacturer, laptop LCDs are really expensive.

The display is already set to 800 x 600.. thats the largest the display can handle.

Anyone else have any ideas... Is this a sign of a going display?

I have a similar problem with my laptop LCD, but I can't really give you any help with yours.

I believe mines started with constant "slam shuts" of the screen, and just over the past 2 years may have gradually added up to create the problem.

However, my problem differs from yours in that ONLY when I push my laptop screen back (about 95-100 O (degrees) does my WHOLE screen fade, but if I put it back to 90-95 degrees it is FINE.

Dodgy LCD I guess. Anyone got any ideas (I personally thought it was something to do with the graphics card, but I now think it's unlikely).
