Laptop Display Broken, How Do I Transfer.

Specs: Windows 7
I have a Dell Inspirion E1505 and the laptop turns on but the display doesnt show, and i just got my new Dell in today, i was wondering if there is an easy way to extract the files from the laptop without going to a store, i am currently deployed to iraq so im kind of limited on supplies so any help on this matter would be appreciated. The old laptop has Vista my new on has Windows 7

If there is a VGA other adapter out you can connect to it. Use some lcd or crt display to view your system.
If it works then:
About the most easy way is with a usb storage device. Flash drive it all or a usb hard drive or copy to cd/dvd/
Other than that you use an network cable and transfer that way. Share the files over the lan to the other computer.

If you can't see the device at all it becomes rather difficult. It might be that you had remote desktop enabled and you can remote it.

Last would be to remove the drive and use either a usb/sata to ide or sata adapter or a usb enclosure to house the drive after you removed the drive. Most are cheap but I doubt you can go to Bestbuy Bagdad.

haha ya deffinately no best buy here, ill try to hook it up to my tv ill have to order the cords for it, do you think that it would automatically switch to the tv once i plugged it in, or would you have to go into display settings to actually switch the output,
