If you bought that laptop new it should have come with Windows 7 installed so installing any drivers was not necessary.

What drivers did you install?

no you haven't what?

To clarify, you bought the laptop without any operating system on it?

Check the amount of RAM that is installed. Also check your AV & malware settings to verify they aren't accessing the internet periodically.

All replies should be in the forum. AV is AntiVirus software.

I find it very suspicious that Windows 7 wasn't already running because the model came with Windows 7 pre-installed. Makes me suspect the computer was stolen and the hard drive replaced.

You can check to see if the hard drive has a recovery partition on it using the method spelled out in the manual which is linked below.

When the drive is active is there also activity on the wireless?

I bought this laptop from a store very legaly ! if you do not believe me look heres the website store wit my laptop model ( http://www.emag.ro/laptopuri/notebo... ) (Toshiba L750-1MC)! I could buy it with Windows preinstalled but only cost me 100 EURO more ... people from the store told to get on the official site and download the drivers, you think I'd be sorry if I had a CD with drivers in the box?i assuryou that I do not buy laptops stolen, I wanted this model of laptop too much to buy it stolen .

I did not accuse you of intentionally buying a stolen laptop. I just find it odd that if Toshiba sells that model with Windows 7 pre-installed that your unit came without it. Doesn't that make you think?

Did you check to see if there is a restore partition on the hard drive?

Maybe the explanation is that Toshiba DOES sell that model without Windows 7 but I suggest you ask the shop you bought it from.
