Hi,
My medion MD 9580-F; 100MHz PIII laptop is not booting. It stays black, not even a bleep to indicate what is missing. The fan runs on its own and there is only the "on" led on; not the harddrive led. it is the same for net and battery power.
The hard drive makes an initial click what it does when power comes on it. the cd drive will roll for half a minute when i put a cd in there. I Tried knoppix, floppy drive gives no response to start up diskettes. What is missing on such a basic level that nothing shows. I trieds an external screen too but obviously there i nothing even starting. Can It be RAM; cpu;Bios chip;Bios Cmos; or what else?
