Laptop black screen problem

December 24, 2011 at 13:34:27
Specs: Windows 7
I have HP compaq presario CQ-61 320EM. So the problem is i turn it on, but nothing shows, only blinks from caps lock and num lock. The blink goes 2 times, then pause and again 2 blinks. Acording to Compaq BIOS Beep Codes that blinking means the problem is unknown. I've thought its adapter problem (cause measuring V of mine, it showed 19 and 13, and its supposed to be 19 and 19), but i tryed it with my mates adapter who has same laptop as me, only 330EM, but adapter is the same. Still, same blank screen. At start of this issue, i was able to turn it on after 15 mins of turning laptop on and off. Then it went to 1 hour, and last time it didnt start after 3 hours of trying. When i turn it on for the first 146564 times, it starts showing a bit of normal start up, but then i get black screen again. Again i turn it off and on, it goes a bit further with start up, but ofc, black screen again. After 415415 more tries i manage to start it up and use it normaly. Im really lacking ideas of what it could be. By beep codes, its not suposed to be graphic card or motherboard.
Thank you for all the help in advance.

I've told you a million times, Don't exaggerate

At this point since the system will occasionally boot and once booted will run, the problem seems to be in powerup switch or circuitry. Some laptops have a small circuitboard that can be replaced. Others have all this integrated in the motherboard.

In any event it is a job for a trained tech.
