Hello!
Windows XP and also the battery indicator of my laptop shows that my battery is empty, although it was fully charged and used only for 15 minutes. However, I discovered that not my battery is bad but the reporting is incorrect, because my computer ran for more than an hour after displaying the "empty battery - save your work to prevent from loosing data and recharge your battery". Is there any way to correct this or is this the batteries fault? I have heard of software from Dachshund - Battery Doubler. It should recalibrate the battery but it did not work in my case for the 1st time. Maybe I have to try again? And maybe there is another solution?

try to contact the laptop manufacturer, it may be common with that particular model, if its a new laptop, return it, also try hitting up windows update or updating your system drivers

If it only ran for an hour after the battery was "fully charged", I would say that the battery is on its last legs. They don't last forever.
