we usually charge our cellphone, PSP, or any portable device for around 2-4 hours. we dont wanna shorten the battery life by overcharging the battery. what about Laptop? when we plug into the wall outlet. isnt that the laptop will automatically start recharging? i never see ppl use it for 2-3 hours then unplug it. when there's an outlet, ppl would use leave the machine plugged until they finish using the laptop. Can laptop battery be overcharged?
du know the cordless phones in our home? when we finish talking, we put it back. those phone are like recharging 24/7. it's like they never get overcharged. i wonder if laptop is the same like that.

Some charging circuits are built to diminish the charge when the battery gets close to being fully charged, but not all are built that way.
The manual for the unit has to be checked.

Most use trickle charging, as in the laptop is always keeping time, so it uses the battery, so the electric comes in and recharges the battery. Also, people use the outlet while using it if available because laptops go faster when plugged in and if you use the battery a lot, the battery life quickly shortens.

You can also check to see if there is a high capacity battery for your la top.

Usually they ship with a 4 cell, but you can often upgrade to a 6 cell one.
