CPU/Ram: AMD K-6 266mhz
Model/Manufacturer: Compaq Presario 1625
Comment:
I just bought this laptop used for $50 and when I plugged in an external ps/2 mouse (no usb ports) it registers however acts all crazy and moves randomly across the screen and even registers many right clicks. can anybody tell me what I can do to stop this?

The built in touch pad on the laptop still moves the mouse fine I just hate using them.

Had this exact problem a few years back.

Delete all the mouse drivers and let windows reinstall automatically.

Glad that worked. It can drive you crazy.
