Specs: Windows XP, Turion TL56/1024Mb
Hi
after rebooting my system today, suddenly i
couldnt find any LAN connection icon in the
taskbar. I dont have any PCI lan card, using
the onboard one.
i checked my network connections, and there
was no Local area connection icon, and in the
device manager there is no LAN network
adapter, nothing not even yellow question
marks in the device manager. When i plug the
lan cable im my modem , the modem show me
connection but nothing happens.I scanned for
hardware changes, but in vain.I am unable to
connect to the internet as i use the LAN to
connect to it.

Hi,

I'd try 3 things.

1) shut down and switch off and try again. See if it is detected

2) shut down and switch off and then boot into safe mode and see if it is detected.

3) reinstall the network drivers, to see if it is detected (don't look, don't find!)

4) do you have a restore point that would enable you to restore the registry? This could be a registry corruption.

The board manufacturer probably has a website with forums. You might try posting a query there.
