I have service through verizon wireless and my computer (LAN connection) shows that I am connected to my modem, but I cannot get access to the internet through my web browser. I have internet access on my other computer. I have talked with two different verizon wireless tech supports, and after running numerous tests I have been told by both that the problem is with the internet browser on my computer. I was told by both people to contact HP about my computer. Unfortunately my warranty just expired. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I downloaded winsock fix and transfered it to my problem computer and rebooted my computer after it downloaded and still had no luck.

Thanks for the suggestion. Can you think of any other suggestions?

Its a Westbell 32715. The modem works fine with my other computer. When I take the ethernet plug out of my laptop and stick it on my desktop I can't get the desktop internet to work (LAN line shows that it is connected).

I typed in "CMD" in the run menu of my computer. I then put the comand "ping yahoo.com" and it shows that my computer is connected to the website, but for some reason when I open my web browser I can not access the internet.

Did this ever work? Have you installed the Verizon software on your machine?

The modem works fine because I using the modem to get online to type this message from my laptop.

I did turn of the firewall on my desktop and tried to open internet explorer, but to no avail.
