Kyocera FS-1000 prints too low

December 16, 2009 at 07:09:07
Specs: Windows XP
Our Kyocera FS-1000+ printer sometimes
prints about 1" too low...if top margin of
document is at 0.5" it prints at approx.
1.5"...roller may be slipping? I cleaned pickup
roller with alcohol, did not really help.

Cleaning the pickup roller won't help. Page alignment is done at the registration assembly which is after the the pickup roller. It's possible your drivers have become corrupt. Look on Kyocera's website and see if they have newer ones you can try. You could also try cleaning the roller in the registration assembly but that's not usually the issue.

Thanks for the feedback. I will check for drivers when I get back to work tomorrow.

Forgot to mention, even if they don't have new ones, try re-installing the old ones.

Also, does this happen in all programs or just one in particular?

THX1138, it happens in all programs. I did DL and install the latest deiver I could find but it still happens.

I think I will have to take it in for service...thanks for the suggestions. It was a good try.
