Hi, I got an old 17" KTX CRT monitor from work and I was wondering what modes it officially supports. So far it seems to be fine with 1024x768 @ 70Hz, It can also do 1280x1024 @ 60Hz. I just want to know the official resolutions and refresh rates it supports.

The model is CAG-664SG. Google dosent come up with much. Other than the model number there isn't much else written on it, only 17" OSD Digital control. The date on the back is April 1996, so I'm assuming this was an extremely expensive screen for its day.

It's a great old screen that must have been pretty high end in its day, when you turn the screen on the KTX logo lights up. Heh thats pretty fancy for a monitor of its age. Thanks for any help!

There are lots of sites that list drivers for this monitor.

I guess I'll just hook it up to my computer and see what modes it will work in. Thanks.

OK, for anyone who has this monitor and wants to know what it can do here is what I came up with:

*Anything below 1024x768 can do 72Hz*

1024x768 @ 60/70/72Hz
1152x864 @ 60/70/72Hz
1280x1024 @ 60/70Hz
1600x1200 @ 60Hz

Not bad for a screen from 1996, it does a higher refresh rate at 1280x1024 than a much newer HP MX70 monitor I have.
