This motherboard still powers up so I kept it to mess around with. I have tried to boot off of it but with no results. The reason it messed up, or rather the reason I messed it up, was I stuck the ram stick in backwards (surprisingly the stick still works! :D). I wanted to see if I could try and fix it but I don't know where to get the replacement part (other than buying a similar non working board from ebay). I would like to know the name of the part. I know hopes for fixing are slim as I don't know what else messed up internally.
I am afraid that boards days are done. It may be able to salvaged by an electronics tech but the board could be purchased for less than the amount of labor it would take to fix it, if it could in fact be fixed.
