Comment:

I have had this notebook for over 2 yrs and was fine.A month back suddenly while I was typing, the "qwerty" pad started showing numbers and special characters as they are on the num pad. I switched off the num lock and JKLIO keys were fine but the num pad went off and was doing only arrow keys and pg up-dn etc fn.. I switched on the num lock and the num pad was working fine with the numeric and special keys showing in place of JKLIOPMN. I do not know how to get rid of this nonsense. I tried all combinations of Fn,Ctrl, shift Alt with numlock, scroll, backspace etc. etc. nothing works. Anybody has any ideas to help, Please.
