Keyboard power key

I am in a school environment and we have just taken delivery of a batch of keyboards to replace some very old and worn ones, so far so good. These keyboards have 'Power' and 'Sleep' buttons on them. You can imagine what the little dears get up to. How can I disable these buttons. I have tried the power settings in BIOS; there are no choices in control panel > power options (there are in XP but not W2K) or keyboard. I have searched Google but everything I fine refers to either XP or using a pair of scissors to remove the button. There must be something better than that. Is there a registry setting that I can change? Any help would be very much appreciated. Cheers Chris

Unless the keyboard was made specifically for a computer, extra keys are typically ignored. Your fix is probably in getting a keyboard driver that ignores those keys. A possibility is physically disabling the keys.

Hi Guys. Many thanks for the quick response. I have downloaded 'I hate this key'. It is 20.10 in the UK. I will try it when I get into work in the morning. Again, many thanks. Chris
