Dear Folks,
I am using custom built system (Asus CUV4X Motherboard)I am facing frequent keyboard hanging in the system. That is Numeric LED glows permanently even if i toggle the Num Lock key. But mouse is working.
So i need to restart my PC. Some time the keyboard working after restart. But some times it is not working. Some times the keyboard hangs while surfing the internet.
I want to know the exact reason for the keyboard hanging issue. Is this problem with the keyboard or with the System.

Try un plugging and plugging the keyboard back in. Then try another keyboard.

If it is PS/2 connected, do that ONLY when Windows is shut down - PS/2 keyboards are NOT hot pluggable like USB connected keyboards are. You can damage the PS/2 circuits for it if you unplug it / plug it back in, in Windows, and even if you do no damage, the keyboard probably won't work until you re-boot.
